In-Depth Industry Experience
Our advisors are veterans in litigation funding and IP monetization, having built and managed several successful businesses over the past decade that have transacted hundreds of non-recourse litigation funding and IP monetization deals.
Deep Relationship Network
By leveraging our extensive relationships with litigation funders, law firms and IP professionals, WealthDocket introduces claimants and IP owners to the ideal litigators and funders for a particular matter and secures competitive engagements and deal terms for our clients.
Unparalleled Responsiveness & Professionalism
Because we understand that time is critical when litigating claims and monetizing IP, a principal mission of WealthDocket is to serve our clients, as well as their counsel and counterparties, with exceptional promptness and responsiveness.
We approached WealthDocket with a patent portfolio hoping to salvage a troubled investment.

WealthDocket assessed patent validity, prepared a technical documentation of patent infringement, and determined quantification of damages. The company’s assertion strategy led to an actionable, fundable monetization plan that could potentially recoup most (or all) of our investment.”

Meet the Team
Josh Gammon is a Co-Founder and a Managing Partner of WealthDocket, an intellectual property (IP) advisory and asset management business and the world’s first crowdfunded investment platform for IP monetization. Josh has 15 years of experience in intellectual property and has sourced, diligenced, structured, and closed IP monetization and IP-driven acquisition deals representing over a billion dollars of deployed capital. WealthDocket’s clients benefit from Josh’s extensive experience in IP deals, IP licensing, and IP valuation. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois, is a registered broker-dealer representative with a Series 7 credential, and teaches IP Valuation at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. Josh began his career at Ocean Tomo, a Chicago-based boutique IP consultancy which was acquired by J.S. Held in 2023. At Ocean Tomo, Josh grew from an Analyst to a Director in the Valuation practice group, which grew from four to fourteen employees during Josh’s tenure. He worked briefly in a licensing role at Finjan Inc. in the Bay Area before joining Hilco IP Merchant Banking as its second employee. His duties at Hilco included financial analysis and support, from sourcing and diligence through execution, for deals representing over $500 million of capital deployed to acquire IP portfolios and IP-rich enterprises. Josh also worked on the operations side, providing financial and business diligence in support of over $300 million in IP licensing deals. He worked extensively with Hilco’s large in-house technical team, articulating legal and technical findings as dollars and cents to support Hilco’s investment and advisory decisionmaking. Josh founded WealthDocket alongside Managing Partner Alex Lempiner to serve the capital needs of small enterprises, creators, and innovators whose IP has been misappropriated by BigTech and other powerful interests. He is passionate about the integrity of legal IP protections and believes that widespread IP theft presents a grave threat to American innovation and competitiveness. Josh lives with his wife, Marissa, and their two boys, Dylan and Jonah. He enjoys long-distance running, watersports, ice hockey, rock music, and reading fantasy and science fiction with his children. Josh adheres to the client service focus of his early career as a consultant and strives to create and nurture long-term relationships based on trust with all of WealthDocket’s counterparties. jgammon@wealthdocket.com (574) 903-1499
Alex Lempiner is a Co-Founder and a Managing Partner of WealthDocket. Alex leverages his 25+ years of legal and industry experience representing financial institutions and insurance companies along with nearly a decade serving as head of legal to litigation funders, to advise claimants and law firms on every facet of the litigation funding transaction. Alex works closely with his clients to identify the ideal funders for a particular claim type (and technology); coordinate a full-scale bidding process to obtain competitive funding offers; structure a bespoke funding facility tailored to fit the needs of claimant and counsel; and negotiate all transactional documents (from NDAs through term sheets through definitive funding contracts) to optimize client financial returns and protect from over-reaching contractual provisions. Alex’s career in litigation funding began when he joined Rembrandt IP in 2015 to structure its new non-recourse litigation funding platform centered on patent infringement matters. At Rembrandt, Alex developed all funding contract templates, managed the opportunity pipeline and drafted and negotiated all funding documentation with Rembrandt’s counterparties. After transacting and managing a portfolio of nearly 30 litigation funding investments over a two-year period, Alex helped arrange for the sale of Rembrandt’s litigation funding business to London-based litigation funder, Woodsford, who simultaneously recruited Alex to launch its US litigation funding operations in July, 2017. For over 6 ½ years, Alex served as Executive Vice President and US General Counsel to Woodsford, supporting all aspects of the US business, including managing the US legal and operational matters and drafting and negotiating all US funding transactions. Alex also co-managed Woodsford’s US business development team for the last 3 years of his tenure with the firm. Alex purposely sought out a career in litigation funding to assist individual patent owners with enforcing their property rights and leveling the playing field with well-resourced defendants. After nearly a decade of representing litigation funders to offer non-recourse funding opportunities to claimants and counsel, Alex co-founded WealthDocket to bring transparency to the litigation funding transaction and provide further access to justice for claimants by leveling the playing field now with sophisticated litigation funders as well. Alex was recognized as one of the top 100 professionals at the forefront of the litigation funding industry in the Lawdragon Global 100 - Leaders in Legal Finance Guide, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Alex earned his Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law from The Pennsylvania State University where he was admitted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and his Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law. alempiner@wealthdocket.com (267) 467-4082
